The Intelligent Transport Systems UK (ITS UK) event on September 10, 2024 will look back and reflect on the 60 years since the publication of the Smeed Report, a study of alternative methods of road user charging commissioned by the UK government between 1962 and 1964, focusing on some of the major changes in policy and practice as well as technological advances and changing public perceptions around road pricing. Contributors from academia, industry and local government looked at what the future might hold for a national road pricing scheme.

Tim Wray, UK & Ireland Sales Director, Kapsch TrafficCom, will  present in the session at 2:30 p.m. the "Advances in technology: International Experience" and speak at 4:15 p.m. in the "Panel: A national road pricing scheme – Where do we go from here?"
