  • CMCC – Connected Mobility Control Center

    A cloud-based or on-prem software suite for managing and monitoring the Connected-Vehicle-Environment while enabling direct communication to connected road users. A user-friendly visualization of selected information to monitor real-time events and creating standardized cooperative ITS messages to enable fully interoperable intelligent transport systems. Allowing easy integration with additional solutions and 3rd party data provider via a dedicated Mobility-Data-Hub API.

  • vRSU – V2X virtual Roadside Platform

    A cloud-based or on-prem solution for enabling the hybrid cellular based communication for the CMCC to exchange information with hybrid C-ITS onboard units and smartphone application.

    Providing the capability of consuming and distributing information where no physical roadside units are available and therefore expanding the covering of cooperative ITS systems, while enabling secured and reliable message exchange using dedicated PKI/SCMS connectivity.

Columbus, Ohio
Smart Columbus Connected Corridor project

The Connected Vehicle Environment (CVE) project, which started in 2016, aims to increase transportation mobility, safety, and efficiency for local residents in the city of Columbus in Ohio. The CVE integrates connected vehicles into the city’s transportation environment by installing in-vehicle and roadside technology, and by deploying CV applications that will enable enhanced safety and mobility features.

C-ITS  project with the German Autobahn GmbH

Kapsch TrafficCom (KTC) has signed a contract for a groundbreaking Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systema project with the German Autobahn GmbH of the Federal Government in October 2023.

Under the project, mobile barrier boards indicating limited-time work sites will be equipped with ITS Roadside Stations, which send warning messages directly to approaching vehicles. In addition to around 1,200 IRS, Kapsch TrafficCom is supplying the cloud-based CMCC (Connected Mobility Control Center) software that controls the IRS and can also act as an interface to other traffic management systems.

AIMES Connected Corridor and Intelligent Intersection solutions 

Kapsch TrafficCom Australia has established a local Connected Corridor and Intelligent Intersection pilot within the Australian Integrated Mobility Ecosystem (AIMES), a 6km2 area of Melbourne, which is situated near Melbourne CBD and includes the University of Melbourne campus.

Austria
Austria highways nationwide OCC rollout

Kapsch TrafficCom is providing the required in-vehicle Onboard Units (OBUs) to facilitate real-time data exchange with Austria’s chosen roadside infrastructure. Data from Kapsch onboard units will feed into the traffic management systems in real-time to support a range of safety applications, and to provide relevant information to drivers in their vehicles in real time to reduce the risk of accidents.

Ireland’s national C-ITS pilot relates to the design, procurement, installation, testing, running and evaluation of C-ITS services on the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) and within certain sections of Dublin’s road network.
