Following an internal promotion, we are looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join our team in Melbourne! This varied role would suit someone looking to progress from an Accounts Payable position, a first step outside CA/CPA a Firm, or an assistant accountant looking for growth.

Split between two Accountants, your main responsibilities include:

  • Reconcile ledgers and draft month-end reports, review and analyse anomalies.

  • Assist with timesheet reporting.

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.

  • Handle tax lodgements (BAS, PAYG, FBT) and payments.

  • Assist with year-end audits.

  • Support NZ and SIN accounts personnel.

  • Manage debtor ledger: raise invoices and handle debtor correspondence.

  • Process and post invoices, manage creditor enquiries, and ensure timely payments.

  • Support Project Managers with purchase orders and supplier setups.

  • Manage the Fixed Asset Register.

  • Maintain mobile phone fleet and telecommunication services.

Your profile:

  • Degree qualified in Accounting with at least 3 years’ experience in an accounting / accounts payable role; 

  • Qualified or part qualified CA/CPA; 

  • Exposure to a project based professional environment highly regarded;

  • Exposure to Navision (Microsoft Dynamics 365) or similar ERP highly regarded;

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel and Outlook);

  • Strong and relevant administrative skills.
